Originally from Northern California, Portland-based painter Kelly Brand (b. Chico, 1993) received her BFA from Southern Oregon University and her MFA in Visual Studies from the Pacific Northwest College of Art. Brand has had solo exhibitions at Art Chairs Gallery (2014) and Thorndike Gallery (2015) in Ashland, OR. She has shown work as a member of the Bad Girls Club collective at Meyers Gallery and Retzlaff Gallery in Ashland (2014), and in exhibitions including the California Conference for the Advancement of Ceramic Arts, Davis, CA (2014); Recent Graduates Exhibition, Blackfish Gallery, Portland, OR (2015); SALON Exhibition, Disjecta, Portland, OR (2016); Supernaturalistic, Hanson Howard Gallery, Ashland, OR (2017); at Lodge Gallery and 157 Gallery in Portland, OR (2017); and most recently participated in the 2018 Oregon Fringe Festival. In 2017, Brand was interviewed by and featured in Ozone, digital arts publication.
